INDUSTRIAL SERVICES COURSES
Introduction to Waterblast Fundamentals, Safety and Skills - $300
This curriculum focuses on the Fundamentals of Waterblast Theory, Skills and Safety. The curriculum contains four modules with quizzes which must be successfully completed in order to move on to the next module.
Module1: Define the basics of waterblasting, including the history, how a waterblaster works, how high pressure works, general safety considerations and an introduction to trouble shooting.
Module 2: Specific safety rules common to all waterblasting jobs.
Module 3: Specific safety rules for pipe cleaning, and tube lancing, and
Module 4: Stiff lancing, shotgun cleaning and what to do with automatic tools, and when certain rules cannot be followed, and what to do when that happens.
Maximize Power of WaterJetter through Tip and Hose Selection - $75
This course covers the basic concepts of:
Understanding the horsepower formula; Using the horsepower formula to solve for pressure, flow and horsepower;
Understanding the components of tip design;
Understanding the factors effecting tip performance
And understanding the unique issues in pipe cleaning, tube cleaning, shot gun cleaning and automatic tool cleaning.
These skills can also be used to analyze job productions to determine what equipment is required to perform at maximum efficiency.
Introduction to Vacuum / Air Moving Fundamentals, Safety and Skills - $150
This curriculum focuses on the Vacuum/Air Moving Fundamentals, Safety & Skills. The curriculum contains two modules with quizzes which must be successfully completed in order to move on to the next module.
Module 1: The difference between liquid vacuum units and air movers, how both liquid vacuum units and air movers work, the science of industrial vacuuming, and proper vacuum job procedures.
Module 2: Extensive vacuum safety considerations.
Estimating the Vacuum Job - $75
This course focuses on the basic mathematic and geometric principles in determining volume, square foot and linear feet of objects to be vacuumed. Vacuum estimation stresses cycle times, realistic truck capacities and the above mathematics to enable the student to successfully estimate production times on vacuum jobs. These skills can also be used to analyze job production to determine if the job is being performed at maximum efficiency.
OSHA GENERAL INDUSTRY COURSES
OSHA’s Combustible Dust National Compliance Directive - $75
This course is an Overview of OSHA’s Combustible Dust National Emphasis Program and introduces the following topics:
- History of Combustible Dust Incidents
- Who is Covered Under OSHA's National Emphasis Program
- What is Involved in a Combustible Dust Explosion
- Ways to Mitigate a Combustible Dust Primary Explosion
- OSHA Requirements
- What the National Emphasis Program Means to the Industrial Cleaning Industry
Fundamentals of Hydro-Excavating Safety and Skills - $150
This is a two module course that covers the unique challenges associated with Hydro-Excavating including, Benefits of Hydro-Excavation, Safety hazards unique to Hydro-Excavation, Proper Operations, Identifying & Preserving Underground Utilities and Means of Maximizing Productivity with the units.
